In this article I will go over a build I just started using which is working really well. I’m calling this the slave driver build, as slavery is what this build focuses on. Slavery is really powerful in Stellaris, so this is actually a really strong build.
I am planning to post a lot of empire builds here on this strategy website, as I think building your empire is one of the most fun part of the game. I have started the game so many times with different types of build and had a lot of fun trying to come up with the best one.
Selecting the ethos.
When it comes to the ethos you want to select fanatic collectivist and spiritualist. Fanatic collectivist gives you +100% slavery tolerance which is really importance. You’ll be an empire of slave drivers after all. If also gies you -10% food consumption which is really nice as well.
Spiritualist gives you +5% to happiness which is really nice as well. You want your slaves to be happy so that they do a good job for you after all.
What government should you have?
The suggested government for this build is the divine mandate. With divine mandate you get another +50% slavery tolerance which is the reason you chose it. You are going to have a lot of slave and this bonus together with the +100% from your ethos helps out a lot.
Divine mandate also gives you -15% to resettlement cost which helps when you are expanding. The ruler of your government is called Archprophet when you chose this government type.
The last part of your build I will go over are the traits. I suggest you go with communal and charismatic. The reason you want to go with these trains is to increase your happiness, even with other species that you enslave. Even if you are going to slaves people and force them to work, you still want them to be happy.
This is a quite aggressive build and you should take over your neighbours planets and enslave their populations when you are playing this style.
Please let me know what you think about the build if you decide to test it out. Maybe you know of other alternative builds that work good for keeping slaves as well? If so, please let me know by leaving a comment below.
